For more than 30 years, the Munster Education Foundation (MEF) has funded innovative, hands-on learning experiences in Munster, with more than $500,000 in grants awarded across all five Munster schools as well as district-wide.
Grants awarded by MEF benefit students by funding a variety of initiatives ranging from in-class opportunities for growth to academic enrichment programs, all-school assemblies, extracurricular learning and more. They take Munster education to the next level, positioning our school system as one of the best in the state.
About Us
Wilbur Wright Middle School: Renaissance Fair
This MEF grant gave social studies teachers the materials to create a Renaissance Fair for students, complete with stations where students could participate in hands-on activities.
Elliott Elementary School: Elevate Elliott
At Elliott Elementary, funding from an MEF grant gave older elementary students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and then apply these skills by educating and mentoring younger kids.
