MEF takeover of Byway Brewing raises funds for grants for Munster Schools
More than 350 people enjoyed exclusive craft beer and gourmet food at Byway Brewing as MEF took over the entire brewery on Feb. 3 for Jeans & Jerseys, a casual, sports-themed event.
Guests had the opportunity to hang out in Byway's unique production area/event space or grab a table inside their spacious brewery. Thanks to everyone who got in on the action and supported their Munster Mustang's education during this unique event.
The super fun band Morning Glories jammed at our 2023 Jeans & Jerseys event. Morning Glories is led by an MHS alum who also teaches music to many MHS students at HGS Music School.
Byway Brewing created a special export stout for Jeans & Jerseys. The Mustang Double Chocolate Export Stout has a dark chocolate and deep roasted coffee nose. Medium-bodied with a burst of dark chocolate upfront that balances well with the sweet roasted malt, this beer finishes with a notable-yet-balanced roasted malt/hop bitterness.

Munster Education Foundation's third-annual Merry & Bright Holiday Lights Experience raised more than $3,300 in grants for Munster schools through votes alone! This year, 21 homes entered this festive contest, raising money for innovative educational experiences at Munster schools.
The Holiday Lights contest began with Light the Night, an annual tree-lighting ceremony sponsored by MEF, the Munster Civic Foundation, and the Munster Chamber of Commerce, on Dec. 2 at Munster Town Hall. This event featured festive food, local vendors, and fun for all ages. New this year: rides to view the holiday lights.
Throughout the month, residents voted for their favorite home, with every vote going toward grants for Munster schools.
