Grant deadlines are the 15th of October, December, February, and April, with notification of approvals by the 15th of the following month (see the grant application).
things To Know:

Top consideration is given to the following projects:
- Provide innovative and/or experiential learning experiences
- Impact a large number of students
- Demonstrate collaborative interest, such as when staff/teachers have come together to submit a grade/department/school-wide grant
- Advance diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational experiences/opportunities for all Munster students

If the project cost is over the funding guidelines below, please indicate if other sources (such as PTO, corporate sponsors, or fundraising) will be sought.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

MEF grants are not designed to replace activities provided by STM funding but to supplement and enrich educational opportunities above and beyond our school district resources.

Repeat grant requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

MEF will not fund the following expenditures:
- Apparel
- Food and party supplies
- Incentives or monetary supplies
- Any type of compensation for STM employees and/or students
- Travel, lodging, and food
- Items or materials used for resale

All projects that involve technology must be reviewed and pre-approved by STM’s IT Department.

Notification of your grant status will be completed within one month of the grant deadline.

Checks will be written directly to the school for use or for reimbursement to the educator.

All materials purchased will become the property of the STM.

Names of grant recipients will be announced quarterly during STM School Board meetings, with a group photo taken of recipients for that quarter. We invite all recipients to be part of this!

If your grant is approved, please note the following requirements:
- MEF’s funding should be recognized publicly, such as on social media, signage/announcements at an event, press releases/emails, labels of purchased materials, etc.
- Once your grant is finished submit this form with all of your receipts and photos to finalize within 30 days. Note: MEF reserves the right to utilize these photos for marketing purposes.
- The grant writer must submit any further changes to approved grants. This will then be reviewed by the committee, and a determination will be made.
